Yesterday’s rounds were quite the spectacle, yet the real one started after the competition. With Timi Zajc’s (SLO) public annoucement and criticizm of the head coach, this morning he was excluded from the national team for tomorrow’s team event. After demanding the coach takes responsibility for team’s bad results, the Slovenian Ski Association decided he breached the contract. That means that Peter Prevc and Žiga Jelar, who were about to leave Kranjska Gora and return home this morning, have to stay right there as FIS is deciding, whether they’ll allow one of them to participate in tomorrow’s team event.

But the drama wasn’t over. Gorazd Bertoncelj is now no longer the head coach of the Slovenian team. Ljubo Jasnič, the president of the Ski jumping and Nordic combined Association explained Bertoncelj is leaving Ski Flying World Championships and Robert Hrgota will take over the team for the next two days. Who wiill be the next head coach is for now unknown.
